I built the interactive web simulation for a Cairo University team project on disease spread. It uses JavaScript and p5.js to show individuals moving between susceptible, infectious, and recovered states.

Users can change population size, infection probability, recovery time, movement speed, vaccination rate, and vaccine effectiveness. The simulation updates as parameters change and plots the susceptible, infectious, and recovered populations over time.

The site also explains the SIR model, its assumptions, and its relationship to COVID-19 modelling. The broader project included curve fitting with genetic algorithms.

Our project won first place at Cairo University's 8th Undergraduate Engineering Mathematics Research Forum on December 17, 2022.
